Taking Emerald's business processes to the next level
Emerald's existing business processes were running smoothly, but they felt it was time to review their reliance on Spreadsheets. Whilst they served the business well, their Spreadsheets were becoming more complex and the process was becoming increasingly problematical and time consuming. With a growing customer base and an ever increasing reliance on technology, there had to be a more efficient way of addressing issues such as:
- Duplication of data entry
- Problems associated with multi-user access
- Limited search capability
- Inadequate management reporting
Our main focus was to work closely with Emerald to fully understand how they managed their data. We understood how intrinsic
their data was in all of their business operations and whilst they were considering immediate concerns,
their investment in new systems clearly needed to consider future needs and continued growth in the
We strongly considered end-user needs at all stages during the development phase and enabled Emerald the flexibility to explore their own needs during the build of their bespoke database application; allowing Breeze to combine complexity and efficiency with ease of use.
Using Microsoft ASP.NET, SQL Server 2005, Breeze developed a web enabled database application that provided Emerald with a flexible and comprehensive platform to enable effective management of:
- Profit & Loss Analysis
The Emerald system has been developed to allow them the option of managing many 'behind the scenes' aspects of the application
themselves (multi-company capability, user & look-up management), negating the need for Breeze
to make minor system adjustments.
The new database gives Emerald the flexibility they needed and a far more robust solution to manage their growing business, together with a bespoke reporting system that delivers management information quickly and easily at the touch of a button.....farewell Spreadsheets!
